The Way You CHOOSE To See It

Have you ever realized how your view of a physical place changes, the closer or farther you are?
For example, two weeks ago, I was in Jamaica. Now before I landed, I got a picture perfect view of the island that was absolutely breathtaking I live for views.
Everything was nestled perfectly, from the clouds kissing the hill tops, to the roads and their proximity to the houses. From an aerial view, everything made sense.
However, on land, the highway cutting through the hills uphill-downhill, the deep corners, and speed bumps, may just seem like an annoyance. But everything was designed for a specific reason.
Life is all about perspective. When things aren’t peachy, or we can’t make sense of it, it’s a bother and we fuss about it. But when it’s picture-perfect, everything is okay. Everything in this life, is about the way you CHOOSE to see it.
For example, if you’re all caught up, you know I hosted a celebratory even in August for the OYA brand. I don’t think anything went 100% smooth. But the downfalls and mishaps allowed me to view things from a different lens. Maybe it just meant that I had to think outside the box to arrive at my desired outcome.
Let’s get practical: I could not find wristbands for my guests for when they checked in, so instead I used glow-sticks. I could have given up and said the event wasn’t meant to happen, but I chose to shift my perspective.
Sometimes you have to step away from the situation or work a tad bit harder to see the beauty of what’s in front of you. Not everything will make sense at the first glance. I want to encourage you to take a moment, breathe, and look at the problem again.

Sometimes you have to take a step back to see the bigger picture and to get a bird's eye view.
