It's Shifting Season!

Welcome back to the blog! 🎉 This season is going to be nothing short of amazing, and I figured if no one has told you yet, then I should.

I T ' S S H I F T I N G S E A S O N !

Some weeks ago I was watching a sermon and felt this on my heart, so I latched on to it. This is the season that things are due to change. I live in New York City, in a temperate climate zone. NYC gets hit by all four seasons, and without warning they know when they're due to change. You'll never see winter consult with fall before it hits, it just does! Then BOOM 💥 there's a blizzard!

If the seasons can change on their own, then why can't we, as people? So much has happened in the past year and six months. Way too much for your life to maintain its status quo. Do you ever wonder why you're still in the same position while others excel? Let me tell you why...

Others are realizing that in order for there to be a shift in their lives, they first have to make a move. A lot of us have it twisted that our dreams will happen if we believe; but honey, believing isn't enough. Shifting season is looking like less talking, more doing. Taking the visions off the board and working towards them. Spending more time with my goals than outside. It was time to get practical.

What you focus your energy on, is what you will manifest.

For the past three months, I unintentionally took a well-needed break from blogging. I felt guilty for it at first, but then I realized that I needed the break for everything to come back full circle. Own Your Authenticity celebrated its one year anniversary in June 🎉. I of course, wanted to celebrate because I know no other way. I figured, what better way to celebrate that to get all my supporters in the same room. I've been wanting to host women's empowerment events since 2018. 2 0 1 8! That's three whole years.

I talked myself out of it a couple times, until I realized I couldn't shake the feeling. But then ... I put action to it. I called up my good girlfriend Nacre (event strategist) who helped me to hash out the vision. Then she aligned me with LaToya (event extraordinaire, Ari Event Group) who helped me to plan and put fine details in order. There was no way that I could "Power the Future" - vision board quote from 2019 - if I had let the dream die because of doubt.

Shifting season caused me to not only take action, but to strengthen my faith in the process. I realized a lot throughout this process and I'll share my lessons with you over the coming weeks. But this is one of the main reasons shifting season is so important ...

you CANNOT complain about living a mediocre life, if you are unwilling to make the moves necessary, to make your dreams a reality.

Sis, in just a year I transformed this blog into a business. The possibilities are endless. It took me three years to make one of my many, extravagant dreams a reality.
