Keep Going

Y’all want to know something I find funny? So last week I wrote the post 'Level Up,' and honestly I wasn’t going to. Quite frankly I wasn’t going to write anything because I didn’t feel like it 🤷🏾♀️. And I didn’t want to post anything from my drafts. So I skipped through some notes for inspiration, and there it was, a blog post!
About mid-week, I received an email from my Purpose 2 Platform sister, saying that she'd read the post; she was inspired by it and wanted to use the narrative as a topic on her upcoming IG live series. When I was at work I got the email and all I could do was chuckle to myself.
My coach/big sister in my head, Patrice Washington always says, “You never know who is watching that has the power to bless you”. After I got the email and chuckled, I immediately started thinking, “What if I hadn’t written the blog post?”. I wouldn’t be able to write THIS blog post! Do you see where I’m going with this? It's a ripple effect.
The flip side to that situation is that I wouldn't have inspired her to include that topic in her series. So often we think about how we benefit in a situation, and if we can't see the immediate benefit, we are quick to forfeit the plan. My best friend had urged me to write a post, even if the narrative was around 'I don't feel like it'. I was immediately nudged in my spirit that was purpose is not for me but for the benefit of others. While someone may have been on the other side of the screen waiting to bless me; someone could've also been on the other side of the screen just waiting - for their next sign, or encouragement to stay alive.
Sometimes, your career, your business, your hobby, or your routine may feel like a bother. You may want to throw in the towel because you're working tirelessly to no avail. Truth be told, I oftentimes find myself asking who is reading these blog posts outside of my little tribe, but then I remember the testimonies I've received from women near and far that have been blessed. It may sound cliché to say, "Keep going 💪🏾, you got this!". But sometimes, it's the last ounce of energy you have that connects you to your breakthrough/big break.
As the days of the year are dwindling down, I want to encourage you to remember what you set out to do this year. The work I put into coaching programs between January through May, is currently reaping the rewards. The work you're putting in now may not reap rewards tomorrow, but it can IF you stick with it. Sis, your breakthrough may be around the corner, up the hill, or at the next stoplight. Don't quit prematurely.
Keep going!
♥️
One of the rewards that I've reaped this year, is securing my spot as a live speaker for the 2021 Born to Lead: Leadership Summit the weekend of Dec 10th - 12th. I would love it if you could join me.
