It's Time To Accelerate!

Sis! WE ARE IN DECEMBER!!

Where did the year go? No need to respond. As the year starts to dwindle I want to encourage you to keep pushing forward. Usually, the end of the year for me means it's time to Slow Down [H.E.R. ft. Skipp Marley is my joint]. As the year comes to a close, I'm using this time as my setup for 2021. Given the uncertainties that arose this year, I understand if you aren't too thrilled ESPECIALLY given that we are battling a second wave of C-19.

Still, I have chosen to start planning ahead because if next year is even a quarter of the sugga honey iced tea that this year was, then baby, we gotta make sure we have the reigns in our hands. In my last Instagram Live entitled What Are You Thankful For, I spoke on all the aspects of my life I was grateful for. Never, not once, did I think that I would be here living out my vision of authoring a blog. Neither did I think I would develop the courage to speak in front of a virtual audience. But I did it; thanks to purpose!

Even though I made a vision board for 2020, I didn't necessarily make plans; I depended on faith to guide my decision making. However, our human faith can easily be swindled, when things don't go as planned.

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

- James 2:17 KJV

Without putting in the work and planning ahead, I would not have had the drive to continuously deliver every Tuesday and Friday. Sometimes we have faith and sit on the ideas when they are confirmed, and others, we exclude Him altogether and get upset when our plans backfire.

But seek ye first, the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

- Matthew 6:33 NIV

I say all this to say, that even as we close out on what has been a very ghettofabulous year, seek God's purpose for your life. Don't allow the circumstances to have your faith swaying. I believe that the preparation that you do now, will catapult you for your future, 2021 included. Year after year I'd buy planners and the first two months would be great; somewhere in the middle I'd forget about it and then at the end of the year I'll scramble to remember what my aim was. Do better love.

Even though I am looking forward to closing out this chapter, I am more excited about what's to come. I know that my visions have not been put on hold because of a pandemic. I know that the end of the year isn't the end all be all. Now is the time to strategize! Write down your goals and plan to achieve them.

It's not time to dwindle, it's time to accelerate!
