You Know Enough!

Lately, I've been paying more attention to the women connected to me. And oftentimes what I hear is "I don't know enough". Whether it be starting a podcast, starting a business, or posting consistently on social media for awareness for an upcoming brand, there is always some doubt of self.
Listen sis, when I started on this purpose journey, it was not a bed of roses. My faith wasn't half as strong as it is today. My faith in God has given me the strength to be more accepting of what I don't know, but courageous enough to use what I do know, to fulfill an assignment. Prior to this walk, I would fear my decisions and want to make sure that everything was perfect. But I'm here to tell you that it doesn't work that way.
I knew the fundamentals about event planning; I mean basically nothing. But I had a vision of hosting a women's empowerment event for years. Instead of shying away from my dream, I chose to utilize the knowledge I possessed. I hired an event strategist to fill in the blanks with things I had no clue about. I mean anything from venue contracts, to certificate of insurance, to alcohol riders. But I was also willing to learn.
The problem is that is that you keep sleeping on your own potential by dismissing the value that you have to offer. This is why a car dealership has different departments; every department offers something different and everyone is knowledgable in a different area. Why do we feel like we have to know everything?
Sis, it's not about not knowing enough, or not being certified; it's about having the confidence to start. You don't need to read another book, or to watch another how-to video on YouTube, or even to consult with you mom or sister or cousin. What you need to do, is validate your own ideas/wishes/thoughts and run with them. You know enough!
What are you shying away from doing because you don't know enough?

This clearly was for me - ouch! I'm afraid of looking foolish because of ignorance. I want to be fully prepared for every possible outcome, but that's not realistic. So thanks for the reminded push!!
I shied away from purpose because I didn’t think I was Christian enough nor equipped! 🙌🏾 thank God for obedience 😌
