Be YOU!

In a society where everyone is caught up on looks, and spending their last to keep up with the latest trends, it's important for me to remind you, to be yourself.

I saw a post recently that said "God can't use the person you are pretending to be". If you put up a front like the holiest, most perfect Christian, then you won't be relatable to those like myself. I mean, I'm a little spicy at the mouth, definitely not a Barbie doll when I wake up, and I do not know my Bible cover to cover. The moment I realized that I didn't have to be perfect or appear to be what others thought of me, was the moment I believe God really activated me.

I know that I don't have to present like what culture says or portrays. My assignment is not based on another person's perception. It is based on the one who assigned me. Own Your Authenticity was birthed when I wasn't fully sure of myself. But it gave birth to a version of me that I cherish today. It's given me the power to be embrace vulnerability and transparency with women so I can guide them to do the same.

Trying to be perfect will run you into the ground and conforming to the culture will lead you astray. It's important to understand who you are as an individual and embrace it. Be you unapologetically, and choose yourself daily.
